Tony Siqi Yun, Piano 8:30PM
Still in his early 20s, Canadian pianist Tony Siqi Yun has already assembled the kind of résumé that reads less like a beginning and more like an arrival: Gold Medalist at the China International Music Competition, a breakthrough Carnegie Hall debut with the Orchestre Métropolitain under Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and a steady presence on some of the world’s most revered stages. A 2024 graduate of the Juilliard School, he performs with a rare blend of precision and daring—polished, yet never predictable; searching, restless, and unmistakably his own. Be part of the excitement as we welcome this remarkable new voice for his Princeton University Concerts debut, in a program that showcases the epic sweep and technical pyrotechnics of Beethoven and Liszt bookended by Busoni’s monumental reimagining of J.S. Bach — composers whose works remain a pianist’s ultimate calling card.
